ALL ABOUT APPLICATION PROCESS:

  • A potential resident is referred to our program from a recognized treatment program, Department of Corrections, homeless shelter, or the community.
  • A potential resident fills out an application and meets with Butterfly House Staff for an interview.
  • Staff and Advisory Board will decide if the candidate is suitable for the program. Those determined not eligible for our program will be referred to other programs, if willing.
  • The term of stay is decided upon between potential resident and Advisory Board. If the potential resident is on probation, the Department of Corrections is consulted.
  • If the applicant is determined to be appropriate for our program, the applicant signs a contract and reviews rules and expectations.
  • The Residency Program at Butterfly House begins.

ADMISSION CRITERIA:

  1. You must have sincere motivation to live a sober lifestyle and participate in a program of recovery.
  2. You must be a female age 18 or older.
  3. You must be employed full-time or eligible to become employed full-time.
  4. You must have 2 forms of identification–photo ID and either birth certificate or social security card. If you don’t have the needed documents, you must have a plan and funding needed to get the identifying documents.
  5. You must have no outstanding warrants.
  6. Violent offenders or convicted sex offenders need not apply.
  7. Detoxification from alcohol, illicit drugs or prescription narcotics must be completed before admission.

  • The application is reviewed: Applications will be reviewed promptly by our Advisory Board and you will be notified as soon as possible regarding eligibility and admission date.
